Everything at a Glance

Here you can find all the important information regarding the Soccer Campus League at a glance. Please read the carefully!

1. Mode

A maximum of 16 teams can register for the Campus League in the winter semester 2022/ 2023. The teams will be divided into two groups of 8 and will play against each other in the mode "everyone-against-each" on seven match days from October 17 to November 11. The final tournament will take place on December 12. There, the champion of the Dortmund Campus League will be determined. Should a match day not be able to take place due to weather conditions, the 12th and 19th of December are available as alternative dates. In the event of a cancellation, everything will be postponed by one week.

The game will be played with six field players plus goalkeeper. You can substitute as often as you like per game. The substitutes stand behind their own goal. A player may not enter the field until the other player has left the field.

For each victory a team receives three points, for a draw one point and for a defeat zero points. The standings are decided hierarchically: 1. the number of points, 2. the direct comparison, 3. the goal difference and 4. the number of goals scored. If all values are identical for two teams that are in contention for a place in the final tournament, there will be a penalty shootout with five shooters each.

2. Match Days

League games are always on Mondays from 4:15 - 8:30 p.m. at the artificial turf field on Otto Hahn Street. The match days for the 2022 winter season are Oct. 17, Oct. 24, Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 21 and Nov. 28, with kickoff times at 4:15, 5:05, 5:55, 6:45 and 7:35 pm. Thus, each team will have a total of seven group games and will referee 3-4 times for the other group's games. The games of group A will take place on field 1 (front half of the field towards Otto-Hahn-Straße) and the games of group B on field 2.

The game time is 2 x 20 minutes, during the break the sides are only changed quickly. The referee will conduct a pitch selection with the captains before the game. The two teams playing the first game of the day are responsible for setting up the court. The two teams playing the last game of the day are responsible for dismantling.

Game rescheduling is not possible!

3. Registration

The registration takes place exclusively online. Registration for the winter season 2022 will start on August 15 at 9 a.m.. The person doing the registration for the team will be listed as team captain and will serve as contact person for the league management. For the registration a valid e-mail address, a valid sports card as well as a German giro account for the debiting of the participation fees must be available. With the registration the whole team agrees to the conditions of participation and the privacy policy.

4.Participation fees

The participation fee for the league in the winter semester 2022 is 125,00 € per team.

5. Conditions of participation

Each team appoints a team captain. This person must be registered with the university sports department and have a sports card. Students of the Technical University as well as of selected NRW universities (for a list, see the HSP homepage) are eligible as players. In addition, employees of the TU Dortmund and FH Dortmund can also participate in the league. Before the start of the season, participants must confirm their status by presenting their student ID or staff ID.

6. Obligatory Meeting

An obligatory preliminary meeting with all team captains will take place on October 5 at 4 p.m. All registered teams must be represented by at least one person. If the team captain is unable to attend, another player from the team can take over. If a team is not represented, the team cannot participate in the league and the starting place will be given to a team on the waiting list.

At the end of the preliminary meeting the groups will be drawn and the access data for the squad registrations will be communicated (for further information see point 7. Squad).

7. Squad

The squad must include at least seven players and may consist of a maximum of 20 players. The squad must be registered by 10 a.m. on Oct. 17, 2022. The squad registration process will be different from in the past, starting with the winter semester 2022. The squad list will be maintained online through our booking system. Each team will receive a course number and password at the pre-meeting. With these data, all players can then register themselves for the team. The team captain is registered as "course leader" for the course and can see which players have already registered and can also contact all players by mail. Only those persons who are registered by 10 am on 17.10.2022 are eligible to play.

This semester, for the first time, there is also the possibility to re-register players. If the squad size of 20 persons has not been exhausted in the first registration phase by October 17, players can still be re-registered between the 4th and 5th match day (Nov. 8, 10 am, until Nov. 14 ,10 am). No players can be deleted or exchanged! The re-registered players are then eligible to play from the 5th match day (Nov 14).

8. Referee

Each team has to referee 3-4 games during the league. The teams of group A whistle the games of group B and vice versa. The referee receives the necessary utensils (yellow and red cards, whistle and referee card) from the game supervisor. The referee must wear a top that is clearly different from the color of the playing clothes of the two teams.

9. Deposit

A novelty this semester is the charging of a deposit. All teams have to permit direct debit authorization in the amount of 100€. This amount will be earmarked. If a team commits one of the following violations, the penalty amount due will be debited:

List of penalties

Failure to provide a referee: 50 €

Failure to appear: 25 €

Field duty (see point 11.) not carried out: 25€

If a team does not have enough deposit, a higher amount will be debited in case of doubt. If a team quits before the end of the season and withdraws from the games, the entire 100€ will be debited.

10. Clothing

The field players of each team should wear a uniform top. The color of the goalkeeper jersey must be different from the color of the players' jerseys. Jersey numbers are not mandatory, but desirable.

11. Playing field

The game is played on a half-field (approx. 70 x 40 meters) with youth soccer goals (5 x 2m). The playing field is delimited on the one hand by the yellow lines (parallel to the center line) and on the other hand by the line of the 5-meter space. The latter is extended with cones for better marking.

12. Field duty

The introduction of a field duty is another innovation in the winter season 2022. Two teams, one team from group A and one team from group B, are responsible for court duty per match day. You will receive garbage bags at the tournament management in the container. The task is to collect and dispose of ALL garbage left behind after the match day. This includes not only forgotten plastic bottles but also cigarette butts. No butts are allowed to be left on the grounds! Left clothes, balls or similar items can be handed in to the porter at OH3 and will end up in the pound box.

13. Smoking zones

Because we had major problems with cigarette butts last season, there will be posted smoking areas during the winter season. Smoking is only allowed at the two benches outside the perimeter on the east side (towards the soccerboxes) of the artificial turf field. The two trash cans at the benches also have an integrated ashtray where butts can be disposed of directly. Smoking is prohibited in all other locations on the outdoor field.

14. Alcohol / glass bottles

Glass bottles are prohibited on the entire sports grounds! This also applies to water bottles. Beer is only allowed in cans. The consumption of alcoholic beverages before your own game is prohibited. The league management reserves the right to exclude alcoholized players from the game for the day. Please do not bring pallets of canned beer, but put the cans in your bags.
